Proficiency Testing Schemes

Proficiency Testing (PT) is the evaluation of participants’ performance against pre-established criteria by means of interlaboratory comparisons. PT has become an essential aspect of laboratory practice in all areas of testing, calibration and inspection. Accreditation bodies use PT as a tool to assist in assessing the technical competence of laboratories.
